In 1985, my journey into leadership began when I accepted my first pastorate at a quaint church in Cleves, Ohio. Little did I know, that step would mark the beginning of a remarkable 40-year adventure, guiding communities towards their true potential. Hi, I'm Will Langford, and I'm passionate about helping individuals unearth and fulfill God's plan for their lives.
Throughout these decades, I've been blessed with an incredible partner, Melissa, who has stood by my side for 39 wonderful years. Together, we've raised two daughters, celebrated a son-in-law, and cherished the joy of two precious grandchildren.
My educational journey took me through the halls of the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky, where I earned my bachelor's degree. Later, I pursued my calling further with a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
My career has taken me across states, from Ohio to Kentucky, and eventually to the vibrant community of Chesapeake, Virginia, where I've served as the Senior Pastor of Great Bridge Baptist Church since 2009. With each chapter, I've gleaned invaluable insights, mastering the art of leadership in various contexts and sizes of congregations.
Through the highs and lows of leadership, I've discovered the power of resilience and the importance of personal growth. Today, I stand ready to share these lessons with fellow leaders, whether in the sacred space of a church or the world of business.
